Privacy
GrooveLedger.app is my own project that I made for myself and decided to share with the world. Your collection and listening history are private by default. I store the information needed to run your account and the features you use. I don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
What is being stored
The app stores your email address, username, first and last name (if provided) and profile details; the records, prices and notes you add; your listening sessions and track-level plays; your gear and stylus data; metadata snapshots from Discogs; and, when you use collection import, the selected Discogs folder and release IDs plus your sync preferences. Discogs access tokens, Last.fm session keys and Libre.fm session keys are encrypted at rest. Google sign-in stores the Google account identifier, not a Google access token. The contact form sends its optional name, email address and message to the support mailbox; it does not write them to the GrooveLedger.app database.
Analytics
Public pages use GoatCounter for aggregate visit counts. It processes the page path and referrer plus browser, system, country, language and screen width. GoatCounter says it does not store IP addresses, full user-agent strings or identifiers in browser storage. Read GoatCounter's privacy documentation. GrooveLedger.app also records which public sign-up link was clicked and one sign-up completed event; it does not send authenticated page URLs. The app honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There are no advertising pixels or cross-site tracking.
Third parties
GrooveLedger.app uses Discogs for record metadata, optional sign-in, and (when you request it) reading your collection folders; enabled automatic sync checks those folders periodically. Last.fm is used for optional sign-in and scrobbling, Libre.fm for optional account linking and scrobbling, and Google for optional sign-in. Cloudinary hosts profile pictures. A transactional email provider delivers account emails and contact-form messages, not marketing. GoatCounter provides public-page analytics. Sentry receives error reports and performance traces, but GrooveLedger.app does not attach your account identity or collection. The sign-up, sign-in, password-reset request, resend-confirmation and contact forms run a small proof-of-work check that your browser computes and GrooveLedger.app's own server verifies. It involves no other company, sets no cookie and records nothing about how you move or type. Setting a new password from the emailed link does not run the check, so a reset still works on an older browser.
Getting your data out
Export buttons on the collection, listening and account settings pages download your collection and full, track-level play history as CSV or JSON.
